I planned on shipping my car from Hawaii to Illinois but decided to sell the car instead. Lighthouse (Charles was my contact person) charged my credit card $200.00 as a down payment for the shipping the day I scheduled but when I cancelled the shipping I contacted Lighthouse 3 times by phone and email before I received a response from Charles stating he would “let billing know” in a manner that was unprofessional and rude. A month went by and there was still no credit applied to my card. I phoned again and left a message but have yet to receive a return phone call. I have since disputed the charge on my credit card and am awaiting my refund. Sidenote: Matson Navigation was to ship my car to the west coast and lighthouse from the west coast to Illinois. Matson received a 970.00 payment which they PROMPTLY returned when I cancelled my shipping.

“Lighthouse Auto Transport LLC” is a fraud company. It is a scam.
I had to ship my car from Missouri to California.
They will charge you $100 on your credit card immediately without sending you any email or booking confirmation. After that they will stop picking your phone calls. They will also ignore your emails.
BEWARE of this company.
Same thing happened to me. $100 deposit… never came and got the vehicle… called for days. Twice they picked up and said they would call me back. Never did. Called my credit card company to dispute the charge and got my money back.
I would NOT recommend this company to anyone either. I have been trying
to get back a deposit from Charles Walker as I cancelled the trip back
from Fla. to Massachusetts. The first quote was for $600.00 and ended up
costing me $800.00. I am now going through my credit card to get my return deposit back. There is no contact back from Charles Walker once
he gets your money. He has promised me my deposit back for weeks and
now I am going through my credit card. Stay away from this company.
I had my car shipped from MN to TX. There was a damage during transport which the carrier accepted. I am unable to reach Lighthouse to submit the claims for damage. They will not pick and return your calls. Stay away from them.
Jon Spence is the representative. He will not pick your call if you need to report a damage. I have complained to BBB and FMCSA
Never use this company. They are unprofessional and their practices are illegal. As one who has shipped cars several times with project changes, I can tell you this company should be avoided at all costs. They supplied my driver with the wrong address and phone number so the driver could not contact me for the drop off. And so the driver kept the car and took it to a storage lot in another state (8 hours away). Lighthouse would not respond to email or phone calls! When I did speak to them (repeated calling) they lied about the situation.
Do a google search for yourself. The address of this company is nowhere to be found. Somewhere in Florida. Do you really want to be in this situation? AVOID THIS COMPANY.
Same here too non responsive after they take your deposit, they messed my schedule and cost me more money because I had to find another Autotransport at the last minute.
