So I contacted AllFleet Auto Transport to have a vehicle transported from MN to CA on Monday, 01/13/2014. I was told by Sales Rep Jen that the first available pickup would be on Tuesday 01/21/14/. This was a little longer than I wanted, but nonetheless I accepted the contract. I was told that I would be contacted shortly to work out the details as to the pickup of my vehicle. On Thursday, 01/13/14, having not hearing from them yet, I called them back to confirm my order. I was told by Sales Rep Margie that the order was indeed in the books, and it was still a little early for contact. No problems, everything is fine. On Monday, 01/20/14, I still had not received word from them. Considering that my car was supposed to be picked up the next day, I found it very concerning. I called them again and to my shock, was simply told that my order was “Cancelled”. When I asked why, I was told that the truck broke down. I asked when and was told it broke down the Friday before, 01/17/14.
So they cancelled the order on their own terms, with no regards to their obligations to me as a customer. On top of that, they failed to notify within any reasonable amount of time. In fact, I called them. Meaning that had I not done that, it is likely that they wouldn’t have said anything at all had I not reached out. So I spent 3 days thinking that my car was transportation was taken care of when it was not, 3 days I could have used to look for other businesses. And lastly, the most frustrating thing about it is their total nonchalant attitude about the situation. No apology, no explanation, no ETA on a new transport date, no attempt to retain me as a customer. They basically said “Tough Luck.”
