  1. I placed an order to have my vehicle shipped between Dec 4-15. When I placed the order, I was told by Kat Jolly that she would be calling me back within the week to let me know when the driver was assigned and when the vehicle would be loaded. Never got a call, but on Saturday, 7 Dec, I received an email at 11:33 a.m. stating the my vehicle had been assigned to a driver and was scheduled for transport that very same day. Within 45 minutes of receiving this email, I got a call from the driver saying that he was an hour away from me and that I needed to come meet him somewhere because he couldn’t drive in my residential neighborhood. The problem: I had National Guard drill that weekend and like most people who have a job, I couldn’t just drop what I was doing to go home and handle personal business. If I had known prior to that day, I could have made other arrangements, but I did not receive that courtesy. I called the company’s 24/7 number at least 3x that same day…no answer and no call back. I called on Monday, spoke to a man who told me he was going to find out what happened and call me back…no call back. I called Wednesday, spoke to same guy and he said the same thing…no callback. I emailed the company on Thursday…still didn’t hear from anyone. I called them again on 15 Dec and spoke with a young lady that said her boss wasn’t in but that he would be calling me back that very same day…guess what? No one called. By the way, they charged me a $90 deposit and my car is still sitting at my home waiting for transport. As the customer, why am I running up behind them to figure out what the problem is? The man that I spoke to, did not offer any options as to how this problem would be resolved, he just hurriedly said, “I’ll call the driver and find out what’s going on and call you back today.” I have never experienced customer service like this…ever. If the company practice is to inform the customer of the driver assignment and load date on the day of service, then this information should have been revealed when I was first placing the order. I would not have placed the order with this company if this information nhad been revealed at this time. I was also not told that I would need to drive the vehicle somewhere to meet the driver and while this isn’t necessarily an issue, I need the courtesy of at least a 24 hr notice so that I can make arrangements to do so. It is called customer service. I am pretty sure they have common sense enough to know that I would not be able to make myself available anytime between Dec 4-15 on a last minute notice. I’ve left my phone numbers and email address each time I left a message and all of my phones are in working order so hopefully they won’t resort to lying as they did to other customers.

  2. At first I was very happy to use Get it Done Transportation. David, the owner, called me and texted with me even on weekends, showing that he was very interested in ensuring that the process continued to move smoothly. The first time he called me he spoke to me at length about the process, how auto transport works, and gave me a no commitment quote. I waited a while to call back and make the reservation, as I got my moving issues in order, and they honored the previous quote from before.

The main issue I had with the company, and the reason I am only giving them 2 stars, is what came after the car was picked up. I received a call the afternoon before delivery from the company that was hired to drive my car across the country, and they confirmed the balance that was owed, which matched what I had been told previously. I told them that was fine and I wanted to use the credit card that I had paid the deposit with. The driver informed me that they could only accept cash or a cashier’s check at delivery. I had just moved cross-country, so I did not have a bank from which to get a cashier’s check, and luckily I had just been paid that day, so I was able to mostly empty my checking account in order to get the cash from local ATMs to cover the balance. I tried to reach out to Get it Done, and though it was a Friday night and Saturday morning (delivery Saturday), I reached out to David on his cell phone that we had been in contact on before. I did not hear from him at any point before the delivery, and did not hear from the company until after the paperwork for the delivery was finished.

I emailed him regarding the issues I had and I received what seemed to be a sincere apology for the mixup, stating that I could have used the credit card if I had gotten in touch with them. For my troubles, he offered to send me a gift card from the company so I could go out to a nice dinner, saying it was the least they could do. I really appreciated this offer, and gave him my address where it could be sent, indicating that I would be leaving that address in 2 weeks, if he may not be able to send it right away. When I had not heard from him or received anything before I left that address, I followed up again, with the new address that could be used for me. I still did not hear from him, or anyone else from the company, and have not up to this point.

I am not rating them poorly because I did not receive a gift card, but instead because of the failure to be able to get in touch with them regarding an important matter to me (credit card v. cash), and then saying they would do something to show their apology, but then not coming through with that or having reached out to me in any way before that either. I was very disappointed in the end result of the company’s communication and following through with promises made, and that is why they are getting a lower rating.

    • So honestly would it be an ok idea to use this company? Did your vehicle make it to its destination on time as promised?
      Thanks for any advice.

  3. This was my first time using the service. Overall the experience was ok because the car was delivered, My car was pickup 1 day late therefore delivered 1 day late. When the car was picked up it was actually driven off rather then loaded on a truck on the spot, which left me very worried. I did call the number provided and was assured it was being delivered in a truck. Overall my experience was ok.

  4. After much research I decided to go with Get It Done. Bad choice. Maria had zero communication or customer service. I advised I wanted to place the order and heard nothing back. After at least 5 emails over a few days Maria finally responded and said she would call me in a few, 8 hours later no call still. Never seen someone not respond to a potential client who is saying I want to give you my business the way she did.

  5. Dave assured me he would be available to answer any questions I had during this process. Once he got my deposit, I never received any return phone calls.

  6. My car was picked up on August 2.2014. Katy was great. Very professional. My car was pickup on time and delivered early. Now I can’t get a receipt. After many emails and phone conversations with David Penn (owner) I still have not receive a receipt. Therefore I can not get reimburse from my job for relocation. David Penn is a liar!!! He has ruined his reputation with me and I will never recommend his company or use them again. Why can’t I get receipt??? Are they reporting all their income to the IRS??

  7. My experience started out really well. I read reviews and they seemed positive and I spoke to Dave that day and scheduled for my car to get picked up. It was picked up on time and I was told it should take 7-8 days to ship. So I moved across country expecting my car to be delivered that friday or Saturday. I called Thursday to track my car and no one ever picked up the phone or returned any of my messages. I used the tracking service online and that was a joke. Friday came and went without any communication from Dave. I contacted the driver and he responded hours later that my car would be delivered Tuesday since it was a holiday weekend. Dave finally called back on Saturday and said he would talk to the driver and “get right back to me.” I didn’t hear back from him at all. I called several times and left numerous messages to the company and the driver on Tuesday to find the location of my car and only received a call back from the driver saying the car would now be here Wednesday due to mechanical errors. I called and finally spoke with Dave on Wednesday trying to see if and why my car would be delivered (now 5 days late). He contacted the company with me on the other line and told them to find he location of my car and get back to him so he could inform me. Well, Wednesday passed without a call back and again without my car. My car was FINALLY delivered Thursday (6 days late!). Upon delivery the driver informed me of a cut on the side of my tire. He said he was sure he didn’t do it but that he hadn’t inspected my tired upon pickup. I immediately called Get It Done to report the situation and to see what could be done and once again, Dave said he would look into and get back to me. Of course I didn’t get a call back. I called a week later and left a message and never received a response. A week after that I received an email from Kat asking for a review… Stating that if I had a bad experience to call her before leaving a negative review. I called and left a message and she called back promptly. I informed her of all my issues and she assured me she would “look into it” and get back to me… Well that was 3 weeks ago. I’ve called several more time and left messages that have been ignored.
So to sum up my experience… It was beyond horrible. I was stuck without a car for 6 days, forced to pay for a rental, then when I finally received my car I had to buy a new tired after paying $995 for shipping plus car rental fees. Their website expresses 24/7 customer service and this couldn’t be more wrong. I feel extremely ignored and mislead. I understand things happen, but I wasn’t informed or kept in the loop at all. I tried to get my issues figured out with the company but that seems hard to do when they don’t answer their phones or return messages.

  8. Had a trade deal between two vehicles – one in PA and the other in TX. Went on uShip.com for quotes and GetItDone Transportation messaged the TX truck owner with a deal we could not refused. We asked what could be done to handle both vehicles and they came back and said they GUARANTEE both vehicles to be picked up within a week of each other, but I had to put a deposit on it that day. So like a fool, I did. That person’s name at GetItDone was Kris and right after I gave him a credit card number over the phone, we never heard from him again. Fast forward about a week and a half and there is a storm between GetItDone, myself (in PA), the truck owner in Texas, and a transportation company that GID contacted to pick up the vehicles. Apparently, GID gave the transport outfit false information, saying both vehicles were to be picked up in Texas. Also, they gave the company an invalid PA address. The transport company ended up losing money on the deal and delayed the delivery of the TX truck. We had to work directly with the transport company in order to straighten the mess out since our new contact of GID was not responsive AT ALL. I left well over a dozen voicemails and missed calls for him. DAVID PEIN is the guy at GID who was so unprofessional throughout the situation that the TX truck owner ended up flying to PA and driving the vehicle home (back to TX). I requested a refund months ago, never heard anything. I finally reached DAVID PEIN and he brushed me off yet again, saying he’d give a full refund and it’ll be in the mail. Fast forward three weeks, no refund. The whole situation took several months until I finally gave up. Dave Pein is unprofessional and disrespectful. He severely lacks communication and the ability to follow through with promises and his word. He disrespected the TX truck owner, the transportation company (will remain nameless), and myself. He has wasted countless hours of my life, made me and the TX truck owner lose money (we both took time off work since GID failed to follow through), and I will never recommend him or his business to anyone. He promised a full refund of $320 (which was the deposit) and I’ll never see it again. I have all of the call logs to his business from me and the TX vehicle owner, as well as the manifest and correspondence with the other transportation company. I simply don’t have time to get jerked around any longer, so I’m throwing in the towel.

  9. I wanted to use a different broker after reading the awful reviews around the web about this company. I’ve been fighting to get a refund and the owner asked me to remove my dispute with my bank because he agreed to refund me. However, it’s excuse after excuse when the refund never comes through.

Overall just awful communication and customer service.

    Save yourself the headache.

  10. I scheduled a pick up for my car TWO WEEKS before the pickup date. I had notified Kat that I was leaving Indiana on a Friday (6/19) and needed the car to be picked up the LATEST on the thursday night before. So Kat assured a pickup date of the Tuesday before my flight, to give a 72 hour window where my car would be picked up. The Monday during the week it was scheduled to pick up, I reached out to Kat because I had not heard from her in the two weeks since the initial call. She told me a driver still hadn’t been assigned, yet it would be picked up. I reminded her AGAIN that I was leaving town that Friday. Wednesday and Thursday came, and I had not heard from her, despite calling her on the hour. Finally on Thursday afternoon she called me saying that there still was no driver and that SHE DID NOT KNOW THAT I WAS LEAVING THE NEXT DAY. Ultimately, I had to eat my plane flight and drive my car to Cincinnati to a family friend where I told her I would be leaving me car where it can be picked up at. I had to purchase a last minute plane flight out of Cincinnati which cost a ridiculous amount. Kat told me her company would pick up my car in the next couple of days. This was on Saturday (6/20). As of today, (6/23) I have not heard from Kat, while I have continued to call her daily to find out what the deal is. This company IS NOT A SCAM. They are just a TERRIBLE COMPANY and they do not GET IT DONE. If you want any clarifications, please do not hesitate to reach out. I am just incredibly frustrated with this company as I still don’t have a car and will not have a car for the next week or so.

Side note- -I have given up, and have gone through a different company in the meantime.

  11. This company is a rip off. After paying a deposit to move my vehicle I never heard back from them. I had to call them to find out anything and when I did they lied to me. My vehicle was never picked up and now I’m battling to get my deposit back. This company is pure trash. Do not ever use this company.

  12. Update:

The car showed up and Dave responded.

I love the hurricane excuse. I started this process well before the hurricane. Dave also promised enclosed carrier, 24 support, and every time I called he promised to respond. I never heard anything.

The hurricane hit Florida on Sept 10th and my car and all the drama happened on or before Sept 7th. Lies, lies, lies…

Stay away. Do not use this company. Since posting this review I’ve been contacted privately by several yelp users asking me for help because they are having the same experience.

    ——–

What an awful experience dealing with Get it Done and CFR Autodirect Trucking LLC.

The worst part has been the communication, the lies and misdirection.

Stay away. Pay a little more and get a quality company to help you.

When I first talked to David I was assured that my car would be transported coast to coast via enclosed truck. It was explained that a flat bed would pick up the car, load it onto a truck, and then deliver the car. David let me know that I would have access to call the driver at anytime, he promised a 24/7 customer support line, and told me how all the other shipping companies played games but he did not.

Well…I’ve quickly learned most of what I was told was not true.

I never got the truck drivers number. That may have something to do with CFR transporting all their cars by rail. That’s right. My car was not loaded onto a truck like I was told. It was stuffed onto a train. No wonder I can’t call the driver directly.

When I first asked CFR about the train I was told by customer service that they did not have the shipping info and I needed to check with my broker. When I asked sales the guy said “yea…we ship all our cars by rail.”

24/7 service? Yea. I have a phone number I can call…but there is no one who picks up.

September 2nd deliver? Well…it’s September 6th and I have no idea where my car is.

CFR customer service is a pain. They make you feel like you are bothering them. How dare I call and try and get an update on my car.

David is not much better. He’s nice. He says he will call back. However the first time I called he said he would get back to me and I never heard back. The same is true for the 2nd and 3rd call.

Since David has responded to other reviews saying the person was not a customer…Here is my info.

    “Order Number: 527216-RI

    Hey Timothy,

Just wanted to let you know your 2007 Jaguar XKR has been assigned to a driver. No personnal checks will be accepted.

    Deposit: $ 310

    COD Amount: $ 900

    Total Price: $ 1,210

Carrier name: CFR Autodirect Trucking LLC

    Carrier phone #: (877) 779-7950

    Carrier Type: Enclosed

    Pick up: POTTSTOWN, PA, 19464

    Delivery: BAKERSFIELD, CA, 93301

    Estimated load date: 08/24/17

    Estimated delivery date: 09/02/17”

I hoping for a happy ending but I don’t have much hope at this point. I am expecting a damaged car, with extra miles on it, and it to be filthy. I really hope that in spite of the awful customer service, lack of communication, misdirection, and outright lies that the car shows up in good condition.

  13. All,

I am reaching out to ANYONE and EVERYONE who is even thinking of using Get it Done Transportation, 7700 Belmonte Blvd, Margate, FL 33063 due to my abhorrent experience. Hopefully, you will heed my warning and save yourselves MAJOR aggravation.

I contacted David Pein, Get it Done Transportation, regarding transport of my car from Alabama to Connecticut. He was pleasant and professional on the phone, so I made the arrangement for my car. After Get it Done Transportation received my $150 deposit, there was NO communication with the man. I repeatedly attempted to contact him because there was medications that I needed for the next week. I was ASSURED that the car would be delivered NLT 03AUG.

I have yet to receive any/all information from David Pein (Owner) regarding my car that was picked up 01AUG. And that was the last time I heard anything from Get it Done Transportation – after REPEATED emails, voice mails and text mails!!!

Appalling communication, horrendous Customer Service, totally apathetic regarding customer concerns!!!!
