  1. This company has been working with us for 2 years now. Thanks Jack for the extra effort each time.

  2. It was a nightmare dealing with 7 Star Auto Transport, Inc. I signed a contract with on Feb 8th, 2014 to ship my car from Baltimore, MD to Bothell, WA. They assigned a carrier on the 17th of FEb with the pickup and delivery dates being 20th Feb and 2nd March respectively. On the mornign of 24th I get a call from 7 Star dispatcher telling me that the car was picked up and will be delivered on the 29th. To my horror I realized that the car was not picked up at all. I waited for another 2 days for the car to be picked up and then on 26th Feb, I sent an email asking them to cancel the order and refund my deposit money back. I get a cancellation confirmation email from them on the 28th but they were not willing to refund my despoit of 200$. Frequent calls to them asking for refund went unanswered. I was promised a call back from the dispatchers manager but never heard back. They dont answer my calls anymore. They did not deliver their service as promised causing a delay in my car being shipped. I had to incur more car rental charges due to them. On top of all these troubles and bad service, they refuse to refund my deposit saying that the order has been dispatched. What is the point of dispatching if the vehicle is not picked even after more than a week. These guys are just brokers who try to find a real trucking company for you and they have no control over the trucking company. They do not own any trucks themselves. Avoid.

  3. Being first time shipper and being wary of the process I searched the web for tips and things to look for when transporting my Toyota 4Runner from Tennessee to Georgia (296 miles). More than a competitive rate I wanted a company with a reputation for getting the job done. I stumbled upon this Transport Reviews site and decided to use 7 Star given posted reviews. Other companies offered lower rates however I chose this one. They offered me a price which I agreed to; I subsequently signed the contract they sent, made the deposit of $100 and they supposedly got the ball rolling. It was all downhill from there: the truck was available for pickup on March 21st and was never put on a docket even though the representative I was in contact with, David R., said that it would be picked up over the weekend. Weekend passes with no feedback, I’m calling them over and over and next thing I’m told by another rep is that my truck was not on the docket for a 21st pickup. I explained that this is a mistake given that that’s the date I put in my contract and stated in email correspondences. The whole time I get excuses about no available drivers and ‘we are working on it, you are our top priority,’ still no results. My patience led to frustration and I explained that if they didn’t get my truck picked up by Wednesday the 26th that I would hire another company and request a refund which I ended up doing. Second company arranged pick up the same day and my truck arrived on Thursday the 27th at 7:30am in Statham, GA. The second company said there was no record of my truck being posted to the national switchboard for pickup at all which clearly meant that 7 Star was doing nothing on my behalf. I then get an email on March 31st from 7 Star explaining that a driver had been located for pickup to which I quickly replied that I no longer needed their services and wanted a full refund. The rep understood and told me that it would take a few days before my refund would be submitted for processing. I say thank you and I look forward to receiving it. Then on April 1st I get an email again from same person saying that I did not give them a full ten days to pick up my vehicle so I broke the contract and my deposit has been ceded to the company. I respond back that THEY broke the contract when they failed to schedule it from the 21st and in a move to cover their butts they send me an email, after I TOLD THEM the truck had been delivered, that they had arranged pickup exactly ten days from the 21st. Clearly a move to keep my deposit and deny plausibility for inaction. After three follow up emails requesting my money I have received no correspondence from the assigned rep, David R., and I am filing a complaint (with emails detailing all of this) to the Better Business Bureau for investigation. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS ORGANIZATION!

  4. 7 Star Auto Transport

No response, No service, DO NOT USE

  5. I deposited $200 for they to start to find me a driver. Too many promises broken, after the 10 days without a driver until the 11th day, they took my deposit saying that I cancelled the service. “Of course morons!!”, was not car to pick up because someone else did the job faster and cheaper. Please, If they call you to offer you service hang up the phone and call somebody else. And $500 dollars for 300 miles is too much when a lot other companies offer the same service for $300 or $400 dollars.

  6. Avoid these scamsters. A nightmare dealing with them. I signed the contract and was promised a pickup date. Car was not picked up even after more than a week of the promised date. Two days after the promised date, I get a call from their dispatcher telling me that the car was picked up when it was never picked up. On top of all this, I was asked for an additional 100$ 2 days before the pickup date. They were lying and not lived up to their promise. I had no trust in them anymore. So I had to cancel the order to find a fast and reliable shipper. Now they refused to refund the 200$ deposit saying the order was dispatched. I call them only to be redirected and a call back. Never got a call back. Avoid these people. They do not own any trucks and they are just brokers finding a shipper for you who they have no control over. Contact the transport companies directly and save money and headaches.

  7. Needed a truck picked up in Mi. and dropped off in Il. About 350 miles not far, after taking my deposit was not contacted for a day or so, I told them that they had 5 day to pick up the truck before I would be charged a storage fee no pick up. Finally had to go and get the truck my self after 9 days of waiting will never use this company.

  8. I all honesty I will never use your company again. It was never clear just what was happening. And the original $600 quote was changed after I was told it was too low and no driver would take the car! The quote you gave me was too low? Then why quote me a low quote that wasn’t going to attract any drivers? You guys are not professional in any way. Your communication skills to clients are very poor. If that was the way I handled my clients I would be out on the street. Reluctantly I had to cough up another $125 or never get transport. I was considering canceling but I knew you clowns would never refund my down payment. After all this, pick up was promised on the following day that never came. Then the following day promised, and the truck never came… That promise of pick up happened every single day from Monday thru to actual pick up that happened on the following Friday at 10 pm that late in the evening.

This is the third time I have had a car shipped and I have never had a problem until now.

And when the car was delivered there were lots of miles on it and half a tank of gas gone. Which part of shipping means that they will be driving the car the rest of the way after they’ve gotten rid of the truck? If I had known any of this beforehand I would never have agreed to this at all.
I have since looked into other better options since I have learned my lesson the hard way. I will not be using this option again. You guys are awful. Very upsetting. Learn some client skills. Your company really stinks.

  9. I asked this company to transport my van from east to west coats, so they gave me the price, promised to find a driver within a week so we signed shipping order, however after 2 weeks, they said that vehicle is too big and were asking for more money. So I canceled the shipping order after 10 business days from the first available pick up date, however it has been 3 weeks and they still haven’t refunded my deposit of $250 even if I called them 3x. I have never experienced such a bad services!!!

  10. Simply Rude and unprofessional

It is now July 19th, the car was picked up the 2nd, and they have yet to deliver the alarm clicker rendering the car virtually unusable. Despite daily phone calls, emails and even use of their internet portal for communication, they refuse to respond or even acknowledge my issues. I received one call from a manager promising me a response which as expected was empty. No one has ever called me back. This is the worse experience I have ever had with a vendor. The driver has responded and promised to deliver the clicker on a few occasions but I still don’t have it. For some reason I am trusting they will deliver.

  11. Surprised

I’m really surprised to see so many positive reviews for this establishment. Though my experience was a bit better than others, but it’s nothing to write home about.

I was referred by an associate to give them a call. I made a few attempts to contact Anthony S (goes by Tony) with no luck. I called my associate and told him what a joke of a company this was and a few minutes later Tony calls back. Apologizes profusely about his customer service skills (read: trying to get my business). In the end, I signed the contract on July 10 and the pick-up day was also July 10. Couldn’t get hold of the driver (they only provided a dispatch number of the carrier company) and couldn’t get a hold of Anthony all day. Only July 11th, we get a call that the driver wants to meet up on the highway because a) they couldn’t find our home (it’s over 50 years old and available in every map site) b) the truck wouldn’t fit in our local roads (I call BS on that). Tony finally calls me back a full 24 hours later to tell me what I already knew that the car was picked up.

The car was scheduled to be delivered, per the contract, on July 15th. I called the dispatch and they advised it should be there late afternoon. Great – I head home and wait. I finally call at 6pm and they advised it won’t be until the following (July 16th) morning between 8-9am. I call Tony to get some more info, as typical, doesn’t answer and I leave a message. The following day, I made many attempts to get a hold of the dispatcher/driver to find out where he is and he finally shows up at 3pm. No apology. Nothing. I called Tony a few times on July 16th and he has yet to call back.

The car has a damage on the right side of the bumper that I discovered after the driver left (the driver was in a rush!). Not going to bother complaining as it will be useless. It’s my lesson for not reading their Yelp.com reviews.

My advice, if you must, use them with caution. If you get Tony as your sales person, hung up and call back again unless you like leaving messages for someone that doesn’t care to call you back.

  12. There are many promises and then nothing written or documented. They are only agents to place your car to their carrier. I asked them to pickup car after certain date. They came back and wanted to ship one week earlier. I asked them what they will do since I willl not be available for pickup. They told they will hold at there location.
I asked another question can I put some stuff in back seat. They said let let me check and confirm.
They said yes you can keep some stuff with around 100LB altogether.

Actual scenario – Driver came on the promised date and told that they want another 150 USD for carrying stuff. Not informed or conveyed. I agreed and paid the extra money.
Next day they want money before delivery..so many call, transferred through money gram. Additional charge for transfer.

After I paid money, they told they they can not hold the car till I reach there. They have to move to next state. Another surprise.

Finally they delivered to Wrong Apartment without any confirmation of address.

    Now my car is towed.
Once I reach there I will to pay extra for all towing + holding.

    Be careful.

  13. More like 1star company!!! They were extremely fast and persistent when it came to getting my deposit of $145.( WHICH THEY DOUBLE CHARGED ME)At which time JOSE my representative failed to simply provide me with an confirmation number ( I had to call back several times before reaching someone who could provide me with the confirmation. I should’ve known then things would not go smoothly. On 6/14 Saturday they told me pick up for my Honda s2ooo would be on 6/16. Oh yea in forgot to mentioned scheduling was made 3 weeks in advance. On the DAY OF the pick up they rescheduled for 3 days delayed later. So I took th e morning off AGAIN and of course they called the DAY OF to cancel the 2nd time. At this point they were promising 3 days more out. 3 times they did this to me. At this point I was trying to REACH ANYONE. But all I ever got was Sarah some other rude lady with an accent and of course I never ever heard back from my representative Jose or the manager mike. apparently mike is a VERY busy man. Simply never available. So till this day I have not received one call back or any attempt in rectifying my dissatisfaction. When I demanded a refunded they only refunded the amount I was overcharged. what a nightmare. Please do not waste your time, energy or money with this unprofessional ZERO star company. -Lil

  14. Stay away from this company, 7 Star Auto Transport. I’m a car enthusiast and have transported several cars over the years. I’ll try and make this short and to the point. First, the initial driver was supposed to pick up the car on a certain date or a range of possible dates but, instead, called me and told me the car was not there but would “try again” for an extra couple hundred dollars. That’s right, the transporter was shaking me down for money! The car was at all times located at a new Acura dealer, and easy to find. The transporter/driver tried to shake me down for more money to pick up the car of all things. Terrible experience. Then another driver picked up the car finally but is way late on days to delver the car, and I’ve had to rearrange my schedule three separate times to accommodate their schedule. I quite frankly would run from 7 Star Auto Transport. Nick G. at this company cares more about the money than transport. Then when I complained (he didn’t return several of my communications mind you) but when I finally reached him, he blew off all the problems. Run run run….

  15. This was the most stressful process ever. Nick, the agent who worked on my order, blatantly LIED to me. NOTHING was done as was agreed upon initially. Will NEVER work with them again and would never recommend them to anyone. Avoid them if you can. I had the worst experience with this company.

My car was supposed to be shipped from Cleveland, TN to Anaheim, CA. I was moving for a job and completely new to the area. I had 2 very specific restrictions. I needed my car to be picked up on either May 27th or May28th. I was out of town before, and then going on an international vacation after the 28th of which majority of the time I did not have access to phone or email. I also was reaching Anaheim the night of June 8th. My second restriction was that I needed to have my car delivered June 9th or after. I started this process early and wanted to make sure everything was planned out perfectly.

I spoke to Nick for hours initially, and made it very clear that I had these restrictions. I had talked with a lot of other agencies/brokers and many of them told me it was not possible for them to deliver my car because of the specific restrictions I had. There were a handful that said they would be able to work with me, but it would cost extra, which I was completely fine with because I knew I had a complicated situation, and I wanted there to be no problems.

Nick told me that he was very good at this, and it could def be done since it was way in advance. I would just have to pay a little more. He said my car would be GUARANTEED to be picked up either the 27th or the 28th from my house. And then my car would be stored, for which I would be charged storage fees. It would then be delivered June 9th or after to my residence in Anaheim. He took the storage fees into account and charged me extra on my quote ($1150 + $135 for storage and delivery fees = $1285 total) . I asked him several times if he would be able to do this exactly as we discussed, and I told him if he couldn’t do it, to tell me upfront. He told me to trust him and GUARANTEED everything we had discussed by sending me in writing an email with all the details. He also said that he talked to his supervisor who agreed everything could be planned properly since it was 2+ weeks in advance. He also said all the phone calls are recorded in case there were any problems. So I then signed the contract and paid the deposit on May 14th.

Nick calls me May 23rd or May 24th, and asks if I am willing to meet a carrier on Interstate 40, which is no where close to where I live (At least 100 miles away). He says there are other options if this one doesn’t work. I tell him no I do not want to do this. He then says he will get back to me with other options.

It is May 27th, and I still haven’t heard anything back. I send him an email in the morning. After no response, I call him around noon. He tells me there is a carrier CONFIRMED for tomorrow, and that they are working on the paperwork. I should get all the information via email in a few hours. I ask him multiple times if everything is set for tomorrow. He says yes the carrier is confirmed, and it should arrive sometime in the afternoon. Don’t worry, everything is set up.

I do not receive any confirmation, so around 5pm, I call back. I talk to Sarah, who tells me nothing is confirmed for tomorrow. She says they have been having trouble getting a carrier for my car. I tell her I talked to Nick earlier today, and he told me that everything was set for tomorrow. I ask to talk to Nick. Sarah tells me that Nick has already left for the day, and doesn’t know why he would say that when a carrier had never been assigned to me. I never hear back from Nick again.

I explain the situation and tell her that I will be out of town and I need it to be picked up by tomorrow. Sarah says that they will try to get a carrier for tomorrow and tells me she will call me back in a little bit. She does call me back later, but is unable to get a carrier. She says that they will try again tomorrow morning.

I call them again the next morning for the status. The supervisor talks to me and I explain the entire situation. I was very upset that I was lied to by Nick who confirmed pickup. I told them to listen to all the phone calls.

On the evening of the 28th, they tell me they have found a carrier for the next day and my car would be picked up midday (btw 11am – 3pm). I can leave my car keys hidden somewhere and the driver will come and pick it up without me being there. The carrier has a yard in Fontana, CA which they tell me is close to Anaheim. They tell me that the carrier as a favor has agreed to store it for free. Then, my may either be picked up or they will try to drop it off. They tell me that they had to pay extra since it was so last minute and they will actually lose some money.

Storage fees were taken into account when all of this was planned, and I was paying extra for them from the beginning. I planned this way in advance so it is not my fault that your company dropped the ball and could not arrange this earlier, and then lied to me about it. They didn’t charge me any extra money then. Asked me if the plan was okay. What choice did I have? I was very frustrated and leaving town the next day. I had to agree with everything because I needed my car to be shipped so I would have it when I reached.

At this point, I had already lost all of my trust with this company, and I didn’t want any problems last minute in picking up the car since no one would be home. I give them detailed instructions and ask them to let me know when my car is picked up. I also call the carrier and give detailed instructions to them as well.

On the 29th, I leave in the morning to go out of town. I call the carrier late afternoon, to see what the status is. They tell me that they will not be able to pick up the car until tomorrow, the 30th. I never get confirmation that my car is picked up. So finally on the 31st I call again, and they tell me that my car is picked up and en route.

After I reach Anaheim, I call 7 Star morning of June 9th. I ask them to drop off my car, as was agreed upon originally. They tell me that the carrier cannot drop off my car, and that I need to pick it up from their yard in Fontana, which is not too far away, and I can take a taxi. I am upset because it should be delivered to me as that was the original term when I signed the contract. The supervisor says that Nick has been suspended for lying and not handling my order properly. Everything in the original agreement essentially had been nullified. The yard is 40 miles away from where I am, and it costs me $150 for the taxi ride. I try to look at public transport options through trains and buses, but there is no direct way there. I was not reimbursed the $150 taxi ride.

This was the most frustrating process ever. I was directly LIED to. Their communication was horrible. I had to keep calling them and asking for updates. Nothing happened the way they promised me. They charged me extra in the very beginning for all my restrictions, but delivered on nothing. They are dishonest. I had to pay an extra $150 for the taxi to pick up my car as they refused to drop it off. What happened to me was very unprofessional with terrible customer service. Never again would I use them. There are a lot of other companies, and I wish I had gone with someone else. Be very cautious in any dealings with 7 star

  16. I recommend 7star to anyone is one of the best transport companies that I work with always on time mike the manager is so sweet work with me to to the entire process car was moved safely and great .

  17. Long story short — my experience with 7 Star Auto Transport was great and I would recommend them. My rep was Jair. Continue below for the long story, but I wanted to say that up front because I suspect most readers will not want to read all of the details below.

I felt compelled to write this positive review of 7 Star Auto Transport because in doing my research for a car transport company of my new convertible sports car, I found nothing but bad reviews all around for almost every company I encountered (I plan to post this review on the many sites where I encountered such negative reviews so that consumers can see some positive experience). And indeed, in dealing with various sales people from other car transport brokers, you get the feeling that you are indeed dealing with “car salesman” who are just trying to get you to sign the contract and you don’t know whether to believe what they are saying about “we have a truck available.” It all feels incredibly sleazy and shady — and it doesn’t help that you read so many negative reviews from so many sources. And making matters even worse is that you have some broker agents that will talk bad about other companies (saying stuff like “be careful, that company’s not insured”, etc.). In the end, I suspect that such brokers are just trying to make you scared so that you’ll choose their more expensive company over the one giving you a cheaper quote (i.e. just trying to say anything to lock in the deal) — but at the end of the day, all of these brokers will work with the same pool of trucks available in your area — but obviously, if you are willing to pay more, then more trucks will be willing to take on the assignment.

And quite frankly, my initial impression of 7 Star Auto Transport was sort of the same. I found them from http://www.transportreviews.com, but if you look at other places (BBB, Yelp), you’ll find 7 Star also has its fair share of negative reviews. I spoke with Jair, who is a nice guy, but also came across as a little bit of a fast talking car salesman just trying to seal the deal. He kept saying we have a truck nearby ready to do it, just need to get the contract signed. I really didn’t know whether to believe him or not. I was so afraid to give my credit card after reading stories about giving the deposit and then nothing happens for days. He said he had a driver willing to do it and even lowered the price further (which seemed like an even larger red flag at first, but not after you understand how this business works).

But what sealed the deal is that Jair actually put me on a 3 way call with the carrier who confirmed that they have a space on a truck and can pick up the vehicle in an hour. So this wasn’t just a broker agent saying that they have a truck available — this was the broker agent letting me speaker to the carrier agent who confirmed that there is a truck in the area. But at least it seemed that Jair was doing everything he could to allay my concerns. I was still a little suspicious and nervous (was it really the carrier agent…or maybe just Jair’s co-worker in the next cubicle pretending to be the carrier agent…or maybe it was the carrier agent but he was told to just say whatever in order to seal the deal — these are the thoughts that run through your head!!!), but I took the plunge and electronically signed the contract.

Once I signed, this put the process in motion and I was able to secure the spot with the carrier. The driver was notified of the pickup address. And to my surprise — the car was picked up about one hour later. And even more surprising — the vehicle was delivered 2 days later (from Illinois to Las Vegas). The driver was very nice (kept in constant communication on the estimate delivery time). Was even willing to drive the car to a more convenient address. The car arrived in pristine condition (it was an enclosed carrier — covered in plastic).

So in the end, I was very happy that I went with 7 Star. I was being quoted prices from some brokers of about $1450 to $1500 and up to $1700 or $1800 for some — but 7 Stat got me a transport for $1150. I think its important to keep in mind that the reason I may have gotten such a good deal is because the truck had only 1 space left and the driver was coming out this way already anyway. Rather than leave a space empty, because they were close to the pickup location anyway, they were willing to accept the job at what might have otherwise been a below market price. I think this is clearly a case a fortunate timing and luck on my part. But I raise this because it shows that the same delivery job that others bid out at $1500 can be had for $1150 — but you may have to be patient and flexible because it may not be picked up right away.

Bottom line — I think you have to understand going into this that all brokers work the same. They quote you a price based on what they think they can get, but then they look at the pool of available carriers to see if they can find a truck that’s willing to do it for the price they gave you (keeping in mind that the deposit you will pay is the broker’s fee, with the remainder being for the carrier/driver) — and if they can find a match, it gets done. But if you live in an area that is not heavily trafficked, then it may take time for your bid to be picked up — or it might not be picked up at all because no one is willing to drive out there for that price. Brokers are just doing their best to find some carrier with space that will take the job.

So I think any consumer needs to keep this in mind when reading all of those review sites. I’m sure there are people with bad experiences, but they may have had unrealistic expectations. And those reviews are often only one side of the story.

In the end, what can I say about 7 Star Auto Transport — I was quoted a price, I was told of a pickup timeframe — and both were exactly as represented. The car was delivered much faster than I ever expected and in perfect condition. No surprises — other than that, after being so nervous about the process, it went so smoothly and quickly. Thank you Jair and 7 Star Auto Transport. I hope this positive review will help offset some of the negatives ones out there — as well as give future consumers some assurances about what to expect in researching an auto transport company.

  18. My name is Nick Dutko and I have been working with 7 Star Transport for over 4 years now. I have been dealing with Jack (Jacques), Ezra and Mike for years now. They decided to stiff me out of $2,400 back in October. Have nearly 200 phone calls from myself to this company they refuse to settle this balance they owe me and my company. I didn’t want to have to start blasting their company online, but when an invoice that was due PRIOR to October 1st and the day I am writing this is November 11th, there is a MAJOR problem.

After doing MUCH research I have come to find that this company is based in Guatemala. They have a Miami address, but that is just a front. There whole operation is in Guatemala. I have tried to reach Jack, Ezra and Mike several times and all I ever get on the phone is their dispatcher George (or Jorge). He has also lied to me several times telling me they were not in the office when they were.

I have several emailed from Mike, Jack and Ezra all letting me know that payment will be made and they need this or that and it will be done in a few days and it is never done. I am sick and tired of the lies and the BS I keep having to deal with. Transport Reviews is only the beginning of the crapstorm they are about to get into.

Did you know how they operate their business is illegal? Their US Department of Transportation gives out an MC number to a qualified broker. Well because they are not in the United States they will be losing their broker ability soon.

If you ever have your vehicle damaged by a trucker who 7 Star hired, how would you ever get an authority figure on the phone if “they are never in the office”?

Do NOT do business with this company. They are honestly horrible people who will lie through their teeth and do anything to make a buck, even if it means screwing over another company.

Hey Jack, Ezra and Mike… you going to pay me my money now!!!??? If you do this can all go away easy. Each day I will be posting more negative reviews everywhere online and I will be in touch with your bond on Thursday to submit a claim to get my money and I will be on the phone with the U.S. Department of Transport and letting them know to look at your company and you’ll get show down.

    Have a GREAT day!!!

  19. This is the worst Auto Transport company I ever work with. Don’t trust them!

I ordered Transportation for pickup car, and I was promised it would be picked up on 11/03/15.

My car’s pickup was delayed by almost more then two weeks! Transport Advisor, David M. was the person who took my order.

Because my car wasn’t picked up at the right time from Auto Auction’s parking lot, my car was moved to Auction Storage. David promised to pick the car every day, and never did. He said he called the Storage, but they informed me that he NEVER did! So my car was moved in to the Storage, for which they charged me $40 a night! I had asked David to talk to Storage because it was his fault my car was not picked up he needed to resolve this question. In repeated phone calls to him in the following days, he said he had called and everything was okay!

Almost after three weeks of promises, he finally found the Truck to pick my car up for the right our previously agreed price.

However, when the truck driver called me from the Storage pickup, he said there was a $500 storage bill owed by me!!!

When I tried to call David, he would not answer the phone!

David promised me he would call and that there would not be any storage fee!

I tried calling their office and have them transfer my call to him, he still would pick up the phone!

I decided to agree to letting the truck driver pay for the storage and pick up my car.

Once the car was picked up from Storage, suddenly David M. answered his phone, but pretended not to know me, and denied making arrangements to waive the storage fee.

So, I had to let the driver bring my car next morning and bring me receipt $500 from the storage, which I had to pay for the truck driver to release the car to me!

    Do not trust this Company!
