The key to choosing a honest and reliable auto transport broker is as follows:
1. Make sure they have a B- rating or higher on the Better Business Bureau ( http://www.bbb.org/ ), majority of the car transporters will NOT have that high of a rating, so when you find an auto transport broker that does that usually means they have worked hard to earn that score.
2. Always check the auto transport broker out on ( http://transportreviews.com/company/ ), they MUST have a five star rating or higher, do NOT settle for a company that has a 4 Star, there’s to many companies that have a 5 star rating to settle for less. Plus any reputable company will always keep there rating a five star. As long as the transport broker is honest, and reliable it shouldn’t be hard to keep a 5 star.
3. Only choose a auto shipping broker that does NOT charge anything up front, majority of the car transport brokers will ask for a deposit when your booking the order, this should send up a huge red flag, DO NOT give any auto transport company a deposit up front. What we recommend is once the vehicle has been picked up, then allow them to charge your credit card a small deposit, somewhere between $100-$550 just depending on the route and which carrier the auto transport broker chooses. Just remember there are NO guarantees in the auto transport world, none. So stay clear of any brokers that guarantee anything, the truth is not even the price is guaranteed, if gas goes up $1.00 tomorrow, they will not pay the increase, it will be passed along to the consumer, and you will have to pay. Even if you have a contract, that means nothing, almost all contracts state price is subject to change, and the consumer is responsible for it.
5. Make sure to choose a company that has been in business for at least 1 year or more, that way you know what they have done in the past and they have some type of track record.
