    BEWARE OF CON-ARTIST BRAD TAYLOR!!!

I searched around for the best quote to ship my Van from CA to SC and received an email and call from (Broker) BRAD TAYLOR **ALL STAR DIRECT AUTO** stating that he was offering a 2013 end of the Year Special for the low cost of $799.00. He then asked that I pay a deposit of $299.00. I then went to Brad’s All Star Auto Transporters website and clicked on (About Us) It read “All Star Direct Auto Shippers prides itself on excellent service. We don’t play games. No Hidden Fees” This advertisement is totally FALSE. on Brad’s Home page it clearly states that All Star have built their reputation around safe delivery, honest prices, true courteous sales and service support. This statement again is very FALSE!!
I gave Brad the $299.00 deposit and a month later I called to verify that we were still on with a late January pickup? He acted as if it were the fist time he had heard of my expected pickup date. He then called me back” ranting and raving that the weather was bad on the east coast and that no driver wanted to Kill themselves transporting my van.” About 3 days later he called and left a message stating that he had found a driver and that I must call him back ASAP. I was very excited when I received his call, however he then stated that when I received my car via the carrier, I must give him the remainder of the money owed which would be $799.00. He responded by saying the driver went up on the price. What he had done was give me a quote prior to finding a carrier. When he should have found a carrier prior to giving me a quote. I responded by saying ” Oh you mean $500.00 because I had already given him $299.00. I then went on to say that I was a single mother and could not pay an additional $300.00 since it had already cost me $3500.00 to ship my furniture. Brad then responded by saying ” I don’t give a dam if your a single mother” I then told him that his services would no longer be needed because he was a rude unscrupulous liar and that I wanted my deposit back. He yelled you will not be getting it back and hung the phone up. I called back and he yelled and hung up again. Brad had given me access to a secure link to view my original quote which was http://www.jtracker.com/external/view/quote?, however he had the ability to go back in and increase the quote from $799.00 to $1099 post our latest conversation.
I then had Wells Fargo reverse the charges. However a month later post my relocation when my funds were quite limited the $299.00 again was taken from my account. Brad Taylor had informed the Bank (VISA) that my security deposit was NON- Refundable.
I then made another attempt to speak with Brad, and as soon as I told him who I was he hung the phone up on me. I called him again and he just let my call go to his voice mail.
I try to live my life by doing the right thing, so I must say the way that Brad Taylor **All Star Auto Transporters treated me was very hurtful. What Brad Taylor does not realize is that he should never mess with ” A CHILD OF GOD” BRAD TAYLOR will get everything that HE SO DESERVES!!!

A deposit does not become “non-refundable” merely by labeling it as such. To keep a defaulting buyer’s deposit, the seller must satisfy the statutory requirements for liquidated damages. Kuish v. Smith (2010) 181 CA4th 1419

      • Wish they could make this work, this company has been doing this for many years. Stealing from credit card companies + clients. Shameful.

    • Ok, finally a responsde back. So, to report this company to your state government or California’s state government. Try this: Attorney General’s Consumer Affair/Complaint Department.

    • WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • They did the same to us he is a rip off!

    • Will agree with everything you said They did that to me $299.00 “deposit “ not administration Fee. That states non refundable. Then the “Contact “ says $599.00 to deliver my car. Nope… I was then told it would be $1,000.00 to deliver my car. These people are bad people. My bank KleinBank resolution center..?? Not good either how do they not understand this is a Breach of Contact? Also have filed a complaint with the BBB. Will call my bank headquarters and explain my dissatisfaction with then knowing the laws.
Do Not use this company All Star Direct Auto Shipping

  2. I called this company for information and a quote. I spoke with Brad. He had a negative attitude from the moment he picked up the phone but I didn’t focus on that.

I asked him if they offer senior citizen discounts and he started laughing “are you kidding me? Am I on candid camera or something.” He mocked. I wasn’t sure what was going on when he started yelling at me stating “that” question is the biggest insult anyone can say to him. (Not that I had to explain myself to him but I had been shopping around and some companies offered so I thought I’d ask).

He yelled more – so so loud I couldn’t get a word in – and said if I thought I could get a better quote with another company then go away and call them. He then hung up on me. HUH!?!?! Our phone exchange was about 1 minute long if that. I had no clue as to what had just happened. I wasn’t aware there was some sort of “auto shippers protocol” we must obey or suffer the consequences of some verbal phone rudeness and abuse.

If I was reading this I’d probably think I was exaggerating and that I must have said something rude to set him off because there’s no way a mentally balanced person could react this way over a simple question – – but he did.

I found so many complaints about this same person. I’d rather pay a little more and get ‘nice’ – than put up with the brad’s of the world . . . life has enough issues without having to put up with people like this. It must be very tiring to be bitter.

    • My experience with All-Star Direct Auto Transport was absolutely the worst possible experience. They wont answer the phone, or return my calls, they wont respond to emails, its like All Star Direct Auto Transport has skipped town with my money. All-Star Direct Auto Transport Processed an un-authorized charge on my card and refuse to refund it. All Star Direct Auto Transport has no customer support, how are you supposed to talk to them when they dont answer or return a call or email. Shame on All Star Auto Direct Transport they do not provide any resolution to their unauthorized charge to my card.

  3. Absolutely Horrible Experience!!!!! I received an email quote from All Star for $699.00 to move my car. Then, I received the order form to sign but the price was now $875.00. I called and spoke to Brad (the rudest, most disreputable and obnoxious business person I’ve ever spoken to) to ask what the real price was. All he seemed interested in was my Visa card. So, I called to speak to Bambi Sweet and she assured me that she ‘could do the deal for $699’ and sent me a corrected quote. I then let Brad put $299 on my card. The balance was to go to the driver upon pickup (not delivery). 10 days later, Brad called to let me know they would be picking up the car the following day and the driver demanded an additional $175! I protested and he said it had nothing to do with him….it was the drivers fault. He then told me I had one hour to decide what to do and he hung up! I called my bank. I then called Brad back within 40 minutes and he told me he had already cancelled my order. I asked for Bambi and he told me she had already left the office. I explained that my bank was willing to dispute the payment and recoup my money and he said ‘that will never happen’ then he hung up again! I had my wife call Bambi from her cell hoping Bambi would pickup. She did and somehow she already knew about the cancellation (?) and tried to explain that the price of fuel fluctuated (it actually went down) and my urgency (?) caused the price increase! In fact, the quote stated a pickup date of 2 Dec and the driver was due on 3 Dec. so my ‘urgency’ had no effect on the outcome. So much for honesty and integrity. I asked for a refund which she said will take 18 to 21 days to process. It should actually take 5 minutes so, I called my bank to dispute the payment. After looking at the BBB report on All Star Auto Shipping, it became very obvious that they use a lowball quote as a scam to get your credit card number. Fortunately, I was not in a hurry to ship my car and did not have to panic. Now, I’ve found a reputable carrier that can do the job without up front charges and he doesn’t act like an ignorant street hawker. After 3 months I am still waiting for my refund.

I would urge anyone thinking about using All Star Shipping to find someone else.

  4. Read the FINE print. Your deposit is classified as NON REFUNDABLE even if Brad dosent ship your car. No matter what,,, he gets your deposit. He got my $299.00 and did nothing. Do NOT give a deposit to this company. This is a RIP OFF

    • Please contact us as we are currently trying to get a class action lawsuit against this company.

      • All Star Direct Auto company charged me $299 and never rendered any service. Never got the money back.

      • He’s stole my deposit too!!!

  5. Scam Artisit-Will Be contacting CA State Atty

I wished we would have done more research on this company and Brad Taylor. We were scammed the same way but luckily we took measures through our bank to protect ourselves. We our getting our deposit back after showing the numerous complaints regarding this company. And his comapny nor him can call my back to state it is “Non-refundable”.
We signed a contract and had a verbal agreement to which my fiance’ was witness to that my truck would be shipped within 2 weeks. Two weeks went by and no truck. Upon contacting Mr.Taylor and his company back, I received the runaround. When I did finally contact Mr. Taylor I too was cussed at when I refused to pay extra money for something that was agreed upon not to mention I was informed that it would then take a year to receive my truck with the current price. After carefully reveiwing his contract with my attorney, the average person would think that contract is leagally binding and you would lose out on your funds. However nothing more could be far from the truth. Verbal contracts are just as binding in the State of California, the City of Los Angeles, any arbitrary courts, and federaql laws protecting consumers superceed anything written in his contract! So, if the services are not rendered yet then your deposit is totally refundable. You are entitiled to a reasonable amount of time to receive your vehicle, and you are also entitled via the verbal agreement made in conversations over the phone.
The other item in the contract about not guarantee dates does not superceed any verbal agreements made prior to the contract.
We will be seeking legal action and also be drafting a bill to change the current laws in the State of California so shippers like these cannot pull a bait and switch. We are trying to make it a requirement to have an estimated date required in the contract.
I highly suggest that anyone reading this who has been scammed by this company also contact the California State’s Attorney and your local State’s Attorney. I know that we are also contacting Illinois State’s Attorney. Which now since this company has done this across many states it has now become a Federal case!
Any other people with this same issue please feel free to contact us via this website for a possible class action lawsuit.

    Case Recap:

Asked to pay an additional $400 to get my vehicle within a month or have to wait a year.
    Illegal business practices
Was to pay a total of $699.00 which included the $299.00 deposit.
Numerous complaints with the same exact story.

    • We are currently looking for all who have been scammed by this company. Since we have all signed a contract our banks are required to give back the money. However, I am currently speaking with an attoney to recoup the money. Also, we are going to try and get a law passed so this will never happen again. Please contact us by replying on here if you are interested in trying to sue this company. It is fraudulent practices. Also, we will be contacting our local news media.

        Nick Bond.

      • Help me. I’m also a victim.

      • Please help. He stole my $299 too and keeps hanging up on me.

    • I just got scam by these guys 2-23-16. Used my discover card. They quote for $699 then says actual price is $800. There will be $75 charge if I cancel order. Another $75 charge if my dispute with credit card company fails. Meaning discover bills them back my $299 deposit. There is no set ship date, no set price, how can the deposit be set up as an automatic forfiet.

    • Fruad fruad cheater company . They give the quote for 500 and asked for credit card information . And later on he said parice is 800 and I totally disagree after that He said you have 299 deposite . I will not give back. I took my money from vida card . How can O get back this money?

    • Fruad fruad cheater company . They give the quote for 500 and asked for credit card information . And later on he said parice is 800 and I totally disagree after that He said you have 299 deposite . I will not give back. He took my money from visa card without giving authorized .How can Iget back this money?

  6. I also had a horrible experience with this company. They agreed to ship my at a cost of $799 with a $299 deposit. After several contacts they scheduled a pick up and delivery date. This plan fell through. Another pick up date was scheduled and also fell through. Now after 2 weeks, the seller wanted the car picked up ASAP. I cancelled the transportation service and asked for a refund. They refused to refund my deposit, hung up on me, then would not answer the phone, and did not respond to my e-mail. I never found any “no refund” policy on the company’s website or in the e-mails about this service. I never received a contract of service or acknowledgement of the cancellation of the transaction. Horrible customer service.

  7. I specifically requested an ENCLOSED carrier for a vintage vehicle. In their reply All Star Direct Auto Shipping stated, “We had a open carrier for this most difficult move from York, NE to Reno NV for a 1941 Jeep Willys pick up truck. John refused the carrier.” Yes, I refused OPEN carrier transport because I wanted ENCLOSED carrier service, which was the service that was quoted to me. After more than two weeks, All Star Direct Auto Shipping could not define when they could provide ENCLOSED carrier service. Thus, I cancelled the service and requested a refund of the deposit. The company refused to refund my deposit, refused to discuss the matter, did not return phone calls or e-mails, and actually hung up after abruptly stating “no refunds.” I have yet to find a policy about “no refunds on deposits.” This is unacceptable customer service. Please refund my deposit.

    • You are not the first person to get scammed by this company. They won’t even deliver your vehicle unless you pay their demands. I have found countless complaints with the same M.O. where this company takes your money and runs. I understand that there is “non-refundable deposit” in all of his contract. But it is a scam. And all his positive reviews are definately from Brad Taylor and his friends. I have 10 on just one website. Please, please contact us as we are trying to get a class action lawsuit started against this company. We are also sending all of this info to the California and Illinois States Attorney. This company has scammed numerous people across numerous states. I also believe that there is probably far more than what is on here. There are also numerous complaints on the BBB regarding this company as well. Someone needs to protect unsuspecting consumers from companies like this.

      • If you have been scammed by this company also please contact Pam Zekman at [email protected]. We are going to contact her about this. She is an investigative reporter. Obviously the government of California and Illinois doesn’t care!

        • Yes.
          Huge SCAM!
          They got me as well.

        • I was screwed out of 299. My credit card company sided with them.

I called and asked over the course of a few days when my car would be picked up. Finally he started yelling at me to stop calling. When I inquired about a refund he told me good luck and hung up. They never called me back, never came. He (Steve) told my c.c. company that he told me there was a car on the way and I requested a refund because I found a cheaper company.

  8. Never, never, never even think of using this company!!!!!! As in all reviews here and on other sites, this is the most dishonest, unreliable, unprofessional company, employing and/or ruin by rude, ignorant, dishonest & fraudulent people. They quote you a low price, send you a contract to sign, charge a deposit on your card, then raise the price by hundreds of dollars and expect you to still use them to transport your car. They quoted me $799 to ship a car from Georgia to Oregon, sent me a contract to sign, I signed it, they charged my card for a $299 deposit, then called to tell me that a driver would pick up my car and would have to be paid an additional $950 cash when picked up, for a total of $1249 instead of the $799 contract price. When I called, Steve was rude, and uneducated. He kept insisting that it was not a contract I had signed, just an order form; when I read to him from the form, where it clearly stated it was a contract, he was stuttering and could not explain, so he hung up on me. When I read him the clause that said the contract could only be changed in writing, he insisted that that meant I would have to change it in writing, as I clearly read to him from the form where it said it could only be changed in writing by All-Star Direct, he again hung up on me. Apparently he has never read the contracts he is sending out. Several times I called back and several times he hung up on me, only saying that I would not get my deposit back. Obviously he doesn’t know anything about contract law either. Luckily my attorney/agent, my credit card dispute dept., the Better Business Bureau, the California Dept of Consumer Affairs, and the California Attorney General’s Office do, and he will be quite busy dealing with them all. He can try hanging up on all of them over and over.

    • What do you suggest doing to get the deposit back? I just got scammed 🙁

  9. OMG..
WHY Is this place still in business???????/
    I got screwed TOO $299.
His guy Screamed at me on the phone..
Hung up on me 3 times

    $500 was my quote
    $299 dep.
    $200 when car delivered
    Now he wants $500 more..

    went from $500 to $1000.00

  10. You have been warned. I was reminded from my email that I never left a review for my terrible experience with these crooks. Avoid at all costs. You’re better off giving your vehicle to a drunk crackhead to get it there for the price you paid and the time required.

They took my deposit with the promise it would be picked up in 4-5 days. About 4 weeks later and through numerous phone calls and subsequent obnoxious attitudes from all of their staff particularly Brad/Steve (think he’s the same guy), they finally get a guy to do the job for $400 more than was quoted, saying it’s not their problem that no one would do it for what they quoted. Let that sink in.

Ultimately, I got my vehicle, in good condition, through the driver that they found. I fault the driver for nothing and the experience on that end was pleasant, but All Star Direct did literally nothing to assist in the matter.

These people should be locked up for fraud.

  11. I just got scam by these guys.

  12. Please help. He stltole my $299 and keeps screaming at me and hanging up.

  13. This company is the worst shipping trasnport company. I REPEAT DO NOT GAVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER THEY DONT PROVIDE SERVICE. They took my 299.
