If you think that transporter insurance will cover you for damages to your vehicle with Dalin Transport, think again.
My vehicle was delivered to me covered in red, thick dirt and dust. The driver, Alex, told me that he’d been through a dust storm in West Texas. It took me two washes to get it clean. And guess what I discovered? Scratches which look like rock dents on my back, rear window.
I calledl Dalin Transport direct to have them repair the damages — instead, I got the run around. I called them, and emailed them numerous times. They refused to talk to me, after I explained the situation the first time.
Luckily, I had access to their insurance information. So I thought I’d escalate it and start a claim with their insurance company. They (the insurance company) were actually very helpful and nice. Funny, they couldn’t even get their insured (Dalin Transport) to return their phone calls.
Well, they inspected the damages and came up with an estimate of $643.21. Guess what? This amount is less then Dalin Transport’s deductible. So the insurance company states in their letter to me, “Therefore, we would like to refer you directly to our insured to resolve this matter.” Ha!
So, I tried again to call Dalin Transport. They were argumentative. They would take no responsibility. They said that because the insurance company will not pay on the claim that they should not have to either. Then they proceeded to tell me that they were too busy to talk to me and they’d call me later. Guess what? They said that before and left me high and dry.
This is what I call a lack of good moral character and shady business practices.
BE WARNED! DO NOT USE DALIN TRANSPORT. If you go through a middle man transport agency, and they try to stick you with Dalin Transport. Ask them to find you another Transport company.
