FreightCenter originally quoted $225 to move a chair from Arizona to Colorado. Was charged $275 without any explanation or invoice. Notified that the carrier (UPS) reported the shipment weighed 505 pounds. Responded that this was an error and the actual weight was 219 pounds. Provide documentation from packing company to verify the correct weight. FreightCenter charged my card an additional $595 without my authorization or approval and with the knowledge that 505 pounds was incorrect. Am currently seeking assistance to reverse this charge.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!These people took my money so fast, and then never picked up my bike. When i spoke to phil he said that he would make it all happen, and yes’d me to death. Well when 3 weeks went by,(i was told it would be picked up in 5-15 days) and i called to see the status, he had no idea wether the bike had been picked up or not. At that time i then said not to go through with the deal cause i thought that was very unprofessional, he then canceled my order and told me don’t worry we will refund you 100%. When i checked my bank they had kept over $100. Moral of the story is that they are shady, and they will do whatever to get you to pay, once you have paid then they don’t care. plain and simple. I highly recommend that you use another company if your trying to transfer something long distance. Im not here to say what companies i like, I’m just here to steer you away from these gypsies… I swear if they were closer to my house they’d be dealing with me inside their office.
I shipped a outboard with no bottom leg, the manufacture weight states 455 I dropped the weight accordingly to 400 even to be safe then a month after it ships receive a bill that says it was 800lbs. Clearly a mistake. Freight center made it clear they work for the shipping companies and not their customers. Even after getting the outboard manufacture to contact them, still no resolve. Horrible customer loyalty and horrible company to deal with to try and resolve issues. DONT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!! It will bite you in the end.
Bait and Switch! We initiated our quote process with them over a month ago. I was given an instant quote based on household goods to be picked up at a self storage unit and delivered to a residence. It contained household goods in plastic shipping container. This instant quote was for around $450. When we spoke to the company and mentioned 2 bicycles the quote jumped to mid $800. We took the bicycles off and it reduced to mid $500. And then we waited for the quote in writing. We never received it and found that our rep was no longer with the company. We had to start again with a new rep – Monique and were told we had to have thing palleted and the quote was $2200! We hung up and called the Account Rep Supervisor Michele Michailos she told us that was the quote. We told her that based on all the misinformation that we’d been given, not to mention the time and range of quotes, that we would never use this company. She hung up on me! So much for customer service!
