  1. This is a terrible company. They gave us false timeframes and damaged our vehicle in transit. The driver was rude and tried to bribe us to not submit a claim. He then changed his mind and tried to argue that he did not cause the damage. None of the employees speak very good English, so very hard to understand. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

  3. IK Transportation transported my son’s Jeep from New York to Austin, TX.

    Pickup was supposed to be on Wednesday or Thursday, June 7 or 8. When I didn’t hear from them on Wednesday, I called and Corinna informed me that they were running behind and to expect pickup on Friday or Saturday. On Thursday morning, IKT called to let me know pickup would be Friday between 12-5 and the driver would call an hour before.

    The driver, Victor, picked up Friday afternoon, June 9. He was VERY thorough and checked the vehicle over carefully for signs of existing scratches and dents. He said delivery would likely be on Monday or Tuesday, June 12 or 13.

    Neither my son nor I heard from the driver, so I called IKT on Monday, late morning. Corinna contacted the driver and he said he would be there after 6 pm and would call my son one hour before. Victor called my son around 6 pm to let him know he wasn’t going to be able to deliver the vehicle Monday evening and he would instead deliver Tuesday at 8 am.

    Here’s where things got stressful. Victor told my son that he needed to have payment ready in cash or bank check. I PREPAID at the time of pickup because my son doesn’t have access to large sums of cash and doesn’t have a bank in Austin. After a very tense 1 1/2 hour wait which involved speaking with IKT headquarters, the driver located the envelope with the check inside. He had just forgotten about it. Thank goodness.

    After looking at Google maps, Victor decided that it wouldn’t be possible to deliver to my son’s apartment complex and gave my son directions to meet him at Rocha’s Towing in Austin, about 3.7 miles away. Again, the 8 am time was specified. Getting there required a 50 minute bus ride. My son arrived as instructed and found himself in an industrial area with no indoor facility/waiting room.

    Victor called to let my son know he was running late “due to traffic.” My son had to wait for 1 1/2 HOURS, standing outside. There wasn’t anyplace nearby to go to. The choice of Rocha’s seemed to be made not solely on the ease of drop off, but on additional drop offs or pickups at that location. Which I understand– BUT, this is not an acceptable place to make a client wait for more than a few minutes.

    When he arrived, Victor then told my son that his dispatcher had him “running all over the place.” Maybe so, and again, I understand that some last minute pickups could’ve come up, but Rocha’s is NOT an acceptable place to leave a client waiting.

    I give IK Transportation 5 STARS for communication– even though I had to initiate several times to get answers, answers were always forthcoming and the representatives were always pleasant.

    Care of Goods- 5 STARS. Other than being covered in bugs from riding up top on an open carrier, everything was fine.

    Punctuality- 2.5 STARS. Pickup was a little bit late. Delivery was still within the originally-specified window. I’d probably give 4 STARS. However what happened on Tuesday morning was completely unacceptable.

    I hope that IKT doesn’t use Rocha’s Towing as a client meeting place in the future or, that better communications occur so that clients aren’t left standing there for 1 1/2 hours.
