TRANSPORT REVIEWS IS A BIASED WEBSITE

As a review driven society, we are constantly looking for responses and reviews from customers about how well or how great a product or service is in every industry that has a footprint on the world wide web. After looking at a few websites on auto transport, I came across TRANSPORT REVIEWS. At first it looked like a legitimate website with reviews from customers, some good, some bad, some downright ugly. Then the urge to take a deeper look kicked in. I started checking out the number of companies listed, how the reviews show up on the home page and how long they seem to stay there. I did notice that 6 companies seem to always be on the home page which could mean that they are huge companies and they do excellent work. One of the companies listed was contacted to get an idea as to the size of the operation. Imagine the surprise when it was determined that only 5 people were employed there. It defies thought that a company that only has 5 employees could possibly have over 9,600 reviews in a 2- year period. On the “Overall Top Companies” out of the Top 20 companies listed only 3 of them have the capability of giving you a quote. Wouldn’t it stand to reason that ALL the listed companies should be able to do that? Not here. Even more disturbing is the fact that only a few of the companies have buttons on that page where you can call them right away. All the companies listed have phone numbers on their individual pages. Poor programing or bias?
Now as a customer who already went to the web to get a quote and are already slammed with calls, texts and emails, by clicking on the “quote” link on this supposed review website, you start getting a whole new slew of contacts to add to the flood you are already receiving.

I also stumbled across an article written by The New York Times about this very website and the article written by the journalist was about one of those “Top Companies”

So bottom line on this particular “review” website, take the number of reviews listed with a grain of salt. Just how many them are truly real???
In addition, this “review” website is not really functioning as a review website anymore. It is functioning as a quote website to try and send traffic to these other companies.
Things that make you think about just who you are going to do business with.
My only recommendation do not put all your eggs in one basket and make a determination based on just one review site. Look at websites that actually understand the auto transport industry (sorry YELP is not one of them).
Look around for others such as the Better Business Bureau, Transport Auto Reviews and Transport Scams which give a realistic picture on this industry as a whole.
